Yes, our BRIXY bars are made in the USA. Our facility is ISO 9001:1015 certified and FDA registered ensuring the highest quality products.

We’ve color coded (no artificial colorants!) the bars so you can easily tell them apart. We also recommend using our shower storage accessory, the BRIXY bar boat, where you can conveniently organize the bars in the order you use them. Here is a cheat sheet for the color coding:

Shampoo (Citrus) – Gold  

Shampoo (Coconut Vanilla) – Beige

Conditioner – all conditioner products are natural white

The pH for our shampoo and conditioner bars is an ideal 5.5. pH stands for ‘potential for hydrogen’ and is a measure of how acidic or alkaline something is. While many shampoo bars on the market are too alkaline, BRIXY bars are designed to maintain a pH level perfect for healthy hair.

Yes, retaining color is all about gentle cleansing and keeping hair moisturized. BRIXY bars use gentle cleansers paired with rock star moisturizing ingredients like coconut and argan oil that ensure the hairs are receiving tons of moisture while you shampoo. Our conditioner bar comes in with even more hydration with its coconut oil and cacao seed butter. 

This depends on a number of factors so there is no precise answer. We conservatively say that our bars will last at least as long as two 8oz bottles of conventional liquid product.

The BRIXY Bar Boat of course! While we’d love for you to be using the shower storage accessory we designed, the main goal when storing the bars is to keep them as dry as possible. Any way you can do that, including a traditional self-draining soap tray, will work just fine!

No. All of our scents are derived from natural sources and are listed on our packaging. We do not hide harmful ingredients behind “fragrance”.

Lather BRIXY shampoo bar directly to your wet scalp until suds form. Massage throughout hair using your fingers, focusing on your scalp. We aren’t masseuses, but we like to take a minute to enjoy the head massage anyway. Rinse well and follow up with the BRIXY conditioner bar if desired. Your hair will thank you and so will the environment.

The conditioner bar needs a little extra love and attention to allow all those super hydrating ingredients to go to work. The more moisture your hair needs, the more time you should spend with your conditioner bar. Trust us! It's worth the extra love and attention.

After shampooing, warm the bar in your hands under water until you start to feel it soften and product release onto your hands. Then, with wet hair, you can use your hands to apply product, or apply the bar directly to your hair. Keep getting it wet and using your hands to pull away product until you've reached the desired amount. You can rub the bar down the lengths of your hair and even side to side to grab more product. Use your fingers to comb the conditioner throughout and let it sit for a few minutes while you go about another part of your clean routine. We suggest spending this time with a shower song or a simple start-of-the day meditation. Whatever your vibe is, use this time for yourself. Rinse your hair thoroughly and mentally prepare for all the compliments you’re going to get!

Lather onto hands, loofa, or directly to body. Wash all over – relishing in the sweet scent of cleanliness. Rinse your body thoroughly. Continue to your next clean routine task or just take a minute to enjoy this moment of relaxation. Inhale, exhale, and feel good about helping us reduce plastic waste. 

We use the minimal amount of packaging needed, and the packaging we do use is readily recyclable (and compostable) paperboard. Our packaging is also Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified, which is the most trusted authority on sustainable forest management.

No, our packaging is 100% plastic-free. Always.

Yes, simply drop the paperboard in your household recycling bin. There are many benefits to using paperboard packaging, one of them being that the material is readily recyclable and easy to turn into more paper products. The packaging is also compostable.

Unfortunately, there is not a way to edit an order once it’s been placed.
