Why should you be concerned about ingredient transparency? Ingredient transparency is not just a trend; it is a crucial element of product formulation and impacts the health and safety of consumers. Many mainstream companies in the beauty industry are not as ‘clean’ or ‘safe’ as they market themselves; oftentimes, they’re hiding toxic ingredients right on the ingredient label. Let’s face it, ingredient labels can be overwhelming. A lot of the words on these labels are long and hard to pronounce, and companies typically don’t care to explain what they mean. At BRIXY, we don’t believe in hiding any ingredients and always value the consumer’s health first. Not only are consumers concerned with the effects that certain ingredients are having on their health, but they’re also worried about the ingredient’s impact on the environment. BRIXY has got it covered on all fronts. Not only are our ingredients better for you, but also better for the environment! We prioritize sustainability in all our practices: all our products come in plastic-free and compostable packaging, as well as our hair, body and facial care products formulated without excess water --- minimizing water waste! All these benefits of BRIXY don’t come at the cost of consumer experience; we prioritize bright colors, fun packaging, and a variety of scents with natural and safe ingredients!

Comforting Scents with no ‘Fragrance’

Speaking of scents, all of BRIXY’s products smell fresh and fragrant because of the natural sources listed on the packaging. We use ingredients like Almond Kernel Oil, Vanillin, Vetiver, Juniper Oil and more to create natural, safe and long-lasting scents. While other companies use synthetic ingredients to create their scents and then place them under a catch all term like “fragrance” or “parfum” on their ingredient list; we don’t believe in that system. Also, use of harmful chemicals linked to serious health problems like hormone disruption, damage to the reproductive system and even cancer are still widespread. Here are some of the toxic chemicals that you should keep an eye out for --- dibutyl, isobutyl, isopropyl, and polyfluoroalkyl --- just to name a few! While we can’t force government regulation of harmful ingredients, we as a brand strive to set a higher bar and focus on the health of our customers and our environment.

Intentional Ingredients

Here at BRIXY, we believe in intentionality in everything we do, especially with our ingredients. Each ingredient is chosen for a specific reason. We chose magnesium as the hero ingredient for our DEOs because of its ability to neutralize odor-causing bacteria that lives on your skin, while being safe for sensitive skin. Also, the BRIXY blend of a ceramide and niacinamide are two ingredients that support and repair the skin to help you maintain a soft, protected and balanced biome under your arms. The safety of our ingredients always comes first, and that’s why all of our products and ingredients have been repeatedly tested, and why our products are EWG verified. On top of this, our innovative deodorants are Patent Pending to be substantially void of endocrine disruptors, meaning that they are not only safe for your skin, but they are safe for your hormones as well.
